The wand was harvested from a Sycamore tree in New York State. This Sycamore tree is one of the oldest trees standing on coastal New York planted over three hundred years ago by the first Dutch settlers.

Sycamore raises energy levels and is excellent for treating lethargy. Sycamore brings harmony and relaxation, an increased awareness of the sweet and beautiful things in life, and is good for lifting heavy moods. Sycamore wood is used in all spells for harmony and success. This wand will help you focus your energy and bring power to all your spell work.

The branch was taken during the waning moon when the sap of the tree has pulled back and was taken after meditation with the tree and with the trees’ permission.

The wand was hand carved over several sittings. During carving the Apothecary began to see a snake shape emerging from the wand. The Apothecary always follows the natural lines of wood when carving wands. Because of the snake look and the knowledge that Sycamore is native to Egypt the snake theme which is common in Egyptian symbolism.was cemented. The wand follows the natural shape of the branch which makes it “two headed” as well. Both sides of the wand can be used, one for banishing and one for creating.

The wand has a nice semi-perfect Quartz crystal at its head and a dark black stone at it’s base. It has natural leather binding at the handle. It can be hung up as well by the center strands of leather or left to rest on an altar or table.

The Apothecary has carved in magical symbols and words all along the base of the wand using the Thebian Alphabet. Each word is a word of power representing the God and Goddess, spell work and power.

The Apothecary has cleansed the wand and empowered it for you in magic circle during the waxing moon. It has been rubbed down with essential oils and stained. There is no varnish, you may add if you like but The Apothecary feels the wood should breathe!
